Work Involved: Keep the Design Track an up-to-date and dynamic major within the Division of Graphic Arts, Write and update syllabi for all courses within the track, recruit students into the major, teach the courses, continue relevant research, and engage in committee and other assignments as requested.

1985-1994:

1984 Poynter Institute National Teaching Awards Fellowship in Graphics, Now called the Teaching Fellowship in Graphics, This was the first year it was offered.

1985 Invited Attendee, Poynter Institute Symposium , Color in American Newspapers, One of "75 journalists, scholars, and technical experts gathered at at The Poynter institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg for a Symposium on the artistry of color in newspapers."

1989 NCGA Academic Scholarship, One of twenty-five recipients of this award by the National Computer Graphics Association Foundation for full payment of registration and fees for the 1989 annual conference in Philadelphia, Pa.
